Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Astrophysical Society records (1986-33)consists of meeting notices and correspondence of the Astrophysical Society; design drawings, blueprints, specifications, and cost estimates for an observatory and observational equipment; and an outline of the dedication ceremony for the observatory.

Biographical Note

The Astrophysical Society is an RPI student organization dedicated to studying the observational and instrumentation aspects of astronomy. The society works in conjunction with the physics department to maintain the Hirsch Observatory atop the Science Center.
